The Mission: An Unexpected Journey

It's been a really interesting week, but its been a super amazing week as well. All my companions are going to the same mission as I am and they're all super cool. My companion is elder Scoresby. He's an awesome guy with a wonderful spirit. My other room mates are Elder Anderson and Elder McDonald, and Elder Johnson and Elder Sullivan. It's like a non stop party here at the MTC. One thing I've realized this week is that we are promised to run and not be weary, and walk and not faint. However, it says nothing about walking and not being weary. That's evident because my feet are KILLING ME. It's probably just my body adjusting to the lifestyle of a missionary. I got to spend all of this morning going through the temple, it's a short walk away and there's a study area with a great view of it. It's cool to be so close to the temple 24/7. The sisters in our district are great too. Sister Keller took four years of ASL in high school and I was the ONLY one who saw the humor in that. Sister Aiken has a bowling high score of 259. The other sisters are sister Wright, Sister Glick, Sister Bolin, and Sister Gunther. They're all awesome. Well anyway, I'm enjoying myself even though it's super busy all the time. I've enjoyed hearing from everyone, and I'll talk to you in a week. (Mom's note: He actually did use paragraphs, but I am still trying to figure out the blogger thing. I compose it with paragraphs, and then the paragraphs disappear. Anyone know how to fix that? Also, I didn't get the ASL thing either until Rory read the letter. Sister Keller. Her name is Sister Keller. Ha.) Elder Bates 9/2/17 Elder Bates 9/2/17 Elder Bates 9/2/17 Elder Bates 9/2/17 Elder Bates 9/2/17 Elder Bates 9/2/17
